The grapes for this Estate Rosé were farmed specifically for this purpose and were picked early in order to maintain freshness and natural acidity. The grapes were whole cluster pressed with the only skin contact being in the press itself. The juice was fermented in 67% neutral French oak barrels and 33% stainless steel barrels making for a crisp wine that also has body.
2014 Reserve Chardonnay ..."This is a subtle Chardonnay, very nuanced, one that I suspect will age with style. This is worth checking out and should provide delicious drinking over the next decade" - Neal Martin - Wine Advocate 91 points!
If you're a Chardonnay lover, this wine is a steal. The 2014 Willamette Valley Chardonnay combines fruit from our Johnson, Wascher, and Chestnut Hill vineyards.
In warm years like 2016, Chestnut Hill Vineyard produces some of our very best wines. As our coolest, highest elevation vineyard, we are able to make “cold climate” wines that defy the warmth of the vintage. The 2016 Chestnut Hill Pinot gris is a great example of this.
Tikka was Eric Lemelson’s Great Pyrenees dog who loved to patrol the perimeter of our Pinot gris vineyards. This wine has bright pear, peach and melon notes that go into a long, mineral and citrus-driven finish.
The 2015 Riesling was made from grapes sourced from both of our estate vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA.
