The grapes for this Estate Rosé were farmed specifically for this purpose and were picked early in order to maintain freshness and natural acidity. The grapes were whole cluster pressed with the only skin contact being in the press itself. The juice was fermented in 67% neutral French oak barrels and 33% stainless steel barrels making for a crisp wine that also has body.
The 2015 Riesling was made from grapes sourced from both of our estate vineyards in the Dundee Hills AVA.
In warm years like 2016, Chestnut Hill Vineyard produces some of our very best wines. As our coolest, highest elevation vineyard, we are able to make “cold climate” wines that defy the warmth of the vintage. The 2016 Chestnut Hill Pinot gris is a great example of this.
