2014 Chestnut Hill Vineyard
"Curious aromas of very ripe fruit with dried strawberries and cherries. Medium to full body, chewy tannins, and a savory finish. Very stylish and racy. Better in 2018." 94 pts, James Suckling
..."bestowed with a beautifully defined red currant and cranberry aromatic profile...the palate medium-bodied with succulent red berry fruit...and a structured finish" 92 pts, Neil Martin, Wine Advocate
At a maximum elevation of 1,000 feet, Chestnut Hill Vineyard is one of the highest vineyards in the North Willamette Valley. As our coolest vineyard site, it responded exceedingly well to the warmth of the 2014 vintage and beautifully inherited the elegance associated with cool climate viticulture and the ripeness of a warm growing season. The high-toned nose reveals strawberry, cherry, allspice. The palate shows more depth with black cherry, earth and plum carried on a silken finish of spice and delicate red fruit and mineral finish.
