2018 Rosé of Pinot noir
The grapes for this Estate Rosé were farmed specifically and picked early from three different sites in three different AVAs, in order to maintain freshness and natural acidity while enhancing complexity. The grapes were whole-cluster pressed and fermented, then aged in neutral oak barrels. The 2018 Rosé of Pinot noir opens with aromas of strawberry and peach, moving into kiwi fruit and fresh ginger. Candied lemon peel mixed with cantaloupe showcases both the citrus and tropical elements of the wine. A concentrated floral quality mixed with passion fruit leaps from the glass. The palate invites weight from barrel aging while maintaining a focused, zippy and mineral finish.
The 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir pairs exceptionally well with Fall comfort foods like butternut squash, braised meats, and sautéed greens. The wine really does have enough body to stand up to most dishes. Always intended to pair with friends, food and good conversations. Cheers!
